Laczynski on Waivers. Guess Philly isnt the only one who thinks hes not good enough for the NHL squad

Engvall waived by Isles as well. Bit surprising but given his play I giess noone should be surprised. Guess I kind of figured Lou would die by that sword

Any win on the road in the NFL is a good win.

His career was decimated by injuries. Played a total of 82 pro games between 20/21 and 22/23.

The steelers are throwing Justin Fields out there at QB. Huh i never heard of the guy.
Russel Wilson is their go to? Another retread qb. Tomlin is very overrated so yeah i can say emphatically that beating the steelers even at home isn't that big of a deal.

This Zavragin guy may be a goalie to watch in the next couple of years if the others falter. He is playing for Sochi in the KHL and won yesterday 3-2. Apparently they are a bad team and they were outshot 43-13. He had 41 saves and a .954 save pct.! For the year he is 3-3 with a .941 save pct. while playing behind a bad team.

He’s dominated at every level. I think in a few years their tandem will be Zavragin/Ersson

We’ve heard this about how many goalies of ours the past 5 years? Let’s just see if they ever get here and produce

Well, of course. However, that doesn't mean that we can't observe. His save pct. as a 19 year old in the KHL are comparable to Sorokin, Vasilevsky and Shesterkin. That's some pretty elite company. The fact he is getting shelled every night and standing up to it is also impressive (mental toughness). That was a problem I had with Hart. It seemed he always played behind good teams coming up through the ranks and then when the Flyers imploded he imploded right along with them.

No, admittedly i dont follow football as much as i used to. From what i have seen he is pedestrian at qb.

Lycksell should be on the team and in the lineup. He's 25 years old and is another player who has shown he has a possibility of being an NHL player but the Flyers lineup is just too good to have room.
- MJL
Think about it this way - every team in the NHL could have had him for nothing and simply chose not to. Is it at all possible that this current leadership group knows a little more than some here? Is that possible?

They havent won a playoff game since 2016. A winning season doesn't mean anything if you cant win in the playoffs. In 2019 they were 8-8 thats not a winning season.

Every time I read a post like this, I have to laugh. Think about it this way, if we go with the premise that the current leadership group knows more than some. I have a few questions for you. Who is included in the "some" and therefore precluded from questioning the decision making of the current leadership group? If we apply that to all, then close down the forum and shut it down. No reason for anyone to have an opinion or offer a criticism. Now that I've dealt with that stupidity.

Most teams will have a young player or prospect that they have been developing on Lycksell's level. They already have put in time and resources to developing similar players. That's why players like him go unclaimed this time of year. Secondly and most importantly, Lycksell is a younger player that they can develop and has shown that he has the potential to play in the NHL. Is this team better served by attempting to do that at the NHL level or keeping older players who aren't the future? What is better for a team that should be developing?

he is a borderline nhl player that not 1 team thought he was an upgrade on what they have in house. a dime a dozen organizational depth piece. Hasn't shown much when given an opportunity.

he is also 25 not so "young" cliff.

So tell us all who he is playing above on the flyers current roster.

I bet the Flyers rue the day that they passed over you to be their GM. What an epic fail on their part! But seriously, why the fuss over a dime a dozen player? The fact is that this guy hasn't busted down the doors to say that he absolutely belongs in the NHL and he is now 25 years old. He's a tweener. There are 100 of these guys floating around AHL/NHL rinks.
