That isn’t what taking a roster spot is. Taking a roster spot is keeping a young player from playing, which Nick D isn’t doing. This has been long established since Riley Cote was a Flyer, hints the term “Cote suit”. You want young players playing. Not sitting in the pressbox.
Please stop with the false information. The only thing that is correct in the entire post is that FEMA needs more money for disaster aid. We've been through this before.
1. Migrant housing is totally separate than disaster aid and is funded separately. There is no mixing of funds.
2. The $750 is the immediate assistance cash payment for necessities while the rest of their claim is being processed. It is not the final payment.
3. The republicans vote against FEMA funding (this is easily fact checked) and then blame everyone but themselves.
There is enough tragedy going around right now besides dealing with the political falsehoods. There has been no mismanagement of FEMA and they are treating everyone equally with funds which they have been allocated and in the manner consistant with their charter.
If you want to be angry at someone, be angry at the right people.

Jett is there strictly as a PR move and to gain some interest in the team. Agree he did nothing to earn a spot . Kid may be a solid NHL player in the future but not close to being an NHL ready player now. Hmmmmm. So the head coach sees something in this kid that makes him think he’s earned a top 9 role in the NHL at this point? Impossible. That doesn’t fit the narrative that Torts hates young players, or that JL17 isn’t ready for at least 9 games in the Show. This will stunt his growth and ruin this kid forever. No good will come from this.

Nothing is 100%. Are we now supposed to apply infallibility to the decision making of John Tortorella? It's not as if we have any evidence in the past of his bad decision making. There is far more risk of harm in this situation than there is of good coming from it. What about when playing time is taken away from players who work hard, are talented and coachable? What happens to the narrative then?

Doubt it. You just can't seem to grasp that most fans don't want the team to get lucky and the low odds of that happening. They want the team to be smart, build a contending team that can contend with a wide window and increase the odds of winning the cup and making it far less about luck. You'll never understand that regardless of how many times it's explained to you.

Weird to hear DB saying that Jett was "only OK" in the games but he somehow still managed to "blow them away from day 1".
I hope this isn't another Justin Williams type situation where the kid is thrown into the league out of necessity and then they lose patience with him after a few seasons of trying to develop him in the NHL.
