Is there an expected timeframe for a RyJo ruling?

Luchanko did nothing to earn that spot besides skate fast and be in good condition. He was a ghost outside of the Washington game where they played a C team.

Equal parts concerning and hilarious how the Flyers value certain aspects of a player over others.

Jett is there strictly as a PR move and to gain some interest in the team. Agree he did nothing to earn a spot . Kid may be a solid NHL player in the future but not close to being an NHL ready player now. As long as he doesnt get hurt in his 9 games , or Flyers keep him beyond 9 games, little to lose I guess.

Briere says that going into training camp, he never thought Luchanko had much of a chance to make the team
But says he's "blown us away from Day 1." Praises his speed and details.

I have no idea why it is such a big deal to folks that Jett made the team out of camp. He'll get a few games (up to 9) and most likely be sent back to junior. So what? But wait, a certain someone said that he absolutely wouldn't make the team out of camp. Whoops!!

Hard work. Wasn’t specific to Luchanko, the organization as a whole.

If he is not good enough to earn a spot and not just a few games towards the 9 game trial, what is there to gain from that? What is there to lose from doing that? If that is what they're doing.

Flyers finish outside of the bottom 10

Michkov gets 50+ points

Frost is traded at the deadline

Flyers will have two 30+ goalscorers this season

Two D-men in the top six will miss 40+ games this season

Some of those who frequent this forum are absolutely hopeless. I read almost every day that "its not a rebuild", "Flyers goona Flyer", "Why is Nick D on this team", etc. etc.

Now the Flyers come into the season starting an 18 year old kid at 3C and a 19 year old 1st round pick starting at wing on the first line. And best of all, Nick D is the 14th forward! Yet all I see on this forum is more negativity. It never stops!

Good for Jett. Seems he made an impression on the coach and management. Worse case, he gets sent back to a bad junior team, with invaluable experience of what he needs to work on. I have no idea why people have an issue with this.

not all will happen:

- Sanheim is traded. will say edmonton

- I will play the "if" game. If they are in a playoff spot or right there in Jan they will make a blockbuster deal with Calgary for Kadri and Anderson

- ND retires at end of the year. then to the surprise of no one is the new flyers ambassador.

- bottom 10 finish.

- flyers will not have 6 picks in the 1st 2 rounds of the 25 draft.

- seeler regresses has a bad year.

- JD is whole lot of average.

The kids had one halfway decent junior season in his entire life and because he skates hard he makes an NHL team. Just outrageous, he just broke out of his shell as a player not even a year ago. Go figure it out in Guelph. Him treading water in the NHL is stupid.

once again you seem to confuse realism with being negative.

that wasn't the question cliff posed. what is there to gain is what he asked.
