I'm sorry what?

I watched for it specifically, I'm a (frank)ing Leaf fan who's watched softness for a looong time.
I not talking open ice bangers, but he finishes his checks and isn't afraid to throw them in the first place....for a Leaf fan that is "playing heavy". |

If he stays healthy, I'm feeling he'll have a great season. Plays heavy...throws some very nice hits, vet experience, and looked good preseason... and all for $900k, heck ya.
Easy call by Tree. - underhill14
Wellwood played heavy too and that didnt work out so well |

Agree, dont see a problem with it. If its a cap hit you can get rid of if you need to, then its a no brainer.
He takes a spot on the 50 man list, but it may be at the expense of a very fringe player..so...a lot of Meh for me. possible reward with no risk - senstroll
It's a punt.
Leafs get 3 more weeks to make some decisions or keep some depth in case some other injuries pop up the next couple of weeks.
They essentially have 5 NHL forward lines and 9 NHL dmen.

McMann was always going to be splitting time with other folks. And like others have mentioned, Reaves is in there to fight Wifi. - Whipper
Mcmann and patch will be in and out of the line up for eachother unless injuries pop up. |

Just went across the road to the food court under the CBC building to get lunch and saw this again in the building. I'm sure 99% of you knew what it was before looking at the pic of the plaque. I sent the pic to a couple of my 'merician friends and they had no idea what it was (there are in NJ & Detroit areas).
I chirped them saying "If I know who the Fak Commander Tom is how can you not know this? They hadn't even heard of the show.
- Cush29
My brother went to public school with a kid whose dad was a puppeteer on the show.
So when I was very little, that was my closest connection to a celebrity. |

I'd add Reaves, Lorentz and Robbie into that mix too. 5 wingers for 4 spots ...let them battle, rotate and earn it.
Then Krok and Dewar are back in the mix end of month and more battles ensue.
I like it. |

Bunkered down, stocked up, and gonna ride it out. Could get crazy. I rode out Katrina in a 100 year old house 50 miles from landfall, so this isn't my first terrifying rodeo.
I'm not overly worried yet. The worst winds will be within 10 miles of the eyewall. Last minute shear weakening is expected and a small jog north or south could make a huge difference for us. Somebody somewhere is gonna be hard (frank)ed though.
I'll know how worried to be by tomorrow night or Wednesday morning.
Fingers crossed.
Regardless, parts of south Tampa and the beaches are royally (frank)ed.

Of course I had my number pad off, but I worked there for 20 years . . .
Yeah our offices way back were at 123 Front, 151 Front, three different ones on University, the large one at 200 Wellington, 370 King - which was the Holiday Inn - and now everything is basically all at one Mississauga office. I think in the 90s there were over 5000 Canadian employees and now there's something like 400.
I liked living and working downtown. I won't lie - now that I'm in 50s and over an hour away on the Go, I am exceptionally happy to work from home.

I'm downtown 2 days per week / 3 on a crummy week and my GO ride is an hour and 40 min each way if there are no delays, so I have over 3 hrs commute time invested every day I have to come down to the office.
I would love to work remote full time but it's not possible, thank god for an ipad, noise cancelling headphones and free wifi on the train.

I've only been to Tampa once, but damn, it was chillaxing.
Played golf.
Drank in Ybor City, then rode the antique trolley to the Lightning game. Had beers on the arena's outdoor patio.
Watched a football game on an outdoor deck, while also keeping an eye on the dolphins jumping in the bay behind the bar.
Swam in the ocean.
Ate fresh fish.
10/10, would visit again. |
