First shut out on opening night in like 70 years, thats crazy.
Loved the third line, I thought they played well and produced shots, for all of the KK haters, as long as he get chances, sooner or later they will go in!!
Hey we got 5v5 production...Finally...But not from Mika!!!
Wjo would have thought!!! |

I try to call 'em as I see 'em without previous bias getting in the way. When you make a valid point, I support it. But, to open the comment section with that sentiment after a 6-0 win is both tactless and dumb, IMO.
Who gives a (frank) if Mika didn't score at even strength when every single line, including his, did?
You are hurting your future arguments and come off looking like a douche. |

I thought the Mika line looked better than past few years. Limited Crosby to two shots. Was in the Ozone majority of night

Baby steps for Kakko. That was a nice zone entry and pass on the disallowed goal. If this 3rd line can stay healthy and produce, that increases our chances dramatically.
Happy for Trouba. The chip on his shoulder can only help
Pittsburgh is pretty horrific yikes. It’s nice to see lol |

In all seriousness, you guys showed why you will be so hard to beat. Pittsburgh played horrible for 50 minutes, but they had a decent 10 minutes to start the game and Igor gave them no chance.
The depth + the goaltending will be hard to beat in March and April. Battle between you and the Devils will be fun |

I dont overreact to 1 game, but the trends are there to suggest this will be a tough year. You cant expect to play good defense when you have one or two defenders capable of playing defense.
Jarry is awful, but it isnt all his fault. I lost count after 9 odd man rushes. The powerplay still sucks, the same stories as last year.
If you said to me, Crosby still performs to his abilities, continues his march to 2,000 points and maintains his 1 point-per-game streak, I would be fine finishing as a bottom 5 team and take our chances in the lottery. You cant retool as well when you are finishing middle of the pack. |

Pretty unfortunate you came back. I was hoping your belittling of Jan brought you embarrassment and you had thought best to stay away for a few years but no, your narcissistic ways brought you back without any embarrassment of the way you acted, oh well. |

No, you don't get to tell me that I don't understand. And saying my feelings are hurt makes you sound like a loser that can't debate his position. Are you a loser?
The FACT is that Mika played well. If he was out there looking like a liability, I'd be right there with you saying we have to watch how things progress.
The FACT is that Mika was on the ice at 5v5 for almost as many shots for as against, despite starting 7 out of every 8 shifts in the defensive zone.
Try to discuss things without being an emotional adolescent and you and everyone else might actually benefit from the time you spend here. |

seriously is anything more (frank)ing annoying when it comes to the Rangers than the absolutely endless obsession on the internet about 5 on 5
we all know we have to get through another long season just to try to get to the spot we were last year and hopefully they produce in the playoffs, OMG already

The most successful teams score 5v5. Of course producing on the PP is important but when the other team shuts you down and PP goes dry, winning is difficult as we all know.
Thats why its an OMG topic |
