Absolutely... but Nuch seems to be a very valuable cog in their machine. They're not the same team on the ice without him.. Or so my Avs loving buddies tell me, anyway haha. When you look at the stats with or without him that narrative does seem to hold some weight. - MattStrat
Depends who shows up. ‘Failed drug test’ Nich or ‘passed drug test’ Nich. I feel one is better than the other lol |

IMalkin has 1100 PIMS in 1151 games. How many of them PIM"S were stupid penalties? Sure he's a HOF but still is he a liability by taking dumb penalties? - jb55
Not as many as you think. He plays with an edge and sticks up for his teammates. He's never been a liability for the Pens.

These likes are super weird. Why are we scratching Bunting? Even if he hasn’t been that productive why would you (frank) with Geno’s mojo right now? |

Malkin takes a lot of stupid penalties. If h was a bottom six player he would 100% be a liability. But he’s Evgeni (frank)ing Malkin so the stupid penalties are more than washed out |

According to j.boyds919 theory he is a liability because he has 1100 pims and jboyd doesn't want no one in the penalty box for physical play and players standing up for each other..Me personally I wish the penguins would get some players with an edge.

I didn't catch the lines... Bunting scratched?... Dumb
Also, does Brian Little need this much of a ceremony.. This long of a delay to start game?...
...
EDIT... Yes, he played for them his whole career... But he played less than 1000 games... Never had more than 64 points in a season... No rings with them... I don't think he was ever captain but I could be wrong... |

Jarry scratched. Ned starting. Interesting. |

Interesting lineup for sure. I’m interested in seeing some players in different spots. I can’t stand pustinen though. Bring up Broz |

So Bunting wouldn’t be more effective on the 4th line than Puustinen? |

Weird note that's about to get lost in the game thread, but apparently McGroarty is only on the third line in WBS. I haven't seen full lines posted any of the places I usually get them yet. |

Hahaha it's pretty wack to think that... And that must be Sullivan thinks.. |

Bottom 6 and 2nd PP looking good. It's nice to have depth for first time in a long time. Just need to get the top 6 back in gear, though Sid's line is looking much better. |

I wonder if he’s banged up? It’s dumb for even Sullivan. |

It's punishment. No other way to look at it. Sully must not like something about his game.

Pens are playing great, definitely the better team so far. Hopefully the score eventually shows that and they get something for their efforts. |

They played so well the first half of that period and just imploded the second half. Typical |

From the Trib...
Unfortunately for Bunting, an unanticipated slow start to the year has him on the verge of relegation from the club’s top six forwards to a healthy scratch.
“I think our expectation is higher,” coach Mike Sullivan said Saturday in Cranberry when asked to assess Bunting’s season to date. |
