@PensInsideScoop
There have been some changes to the #LetsGoPens lines and D-pairs at practice:

Beauvillier-Crosby-Rust
O’Connor-Malkin-Rakell
Puustinen-Eller-Puljujarvi
Hayes-Glass-Acciari

Grzelcyk-Letang
Pettersson-Karlsson
Graves-Shea
(Bunting-St. Ivany)

Why are they so obsessed with Beau on the top line?

How would you know it wasn't:

O’Connor-Malkin-Rakell
Puustinen-Eller-Puljujarvi
Beauvillier-Crosby-Rust

Goal scoring leaders 'deserve' it

Madden said Sid wants to play with Beau because of the speed. If he didn't want to play with Beau, the change would have already been made...tifwiw. It's not helping things that Rust has pretty much sucked.

From DK's column: • Every lineup Sullivan puts together begins with what's best for Sidney Crosby. That's as it should be. As such, and because of who Sid still is, I'm going to guess that, when his line's on the ice five-on-five for six shot attempts for the Penguins and 25 shot attempts given up, it's almost certainly not the living legend's principal fault. And further, I haven't seen from Day 1 of camp what the coaching staff liked about Anthony Beauvillier on the top line alongside Sid and Bryan Rust. He's offered next to nothing to date.

I also see next to nothing with Beau there. They should make that switch. First line is often their worst line right now.

Bunting hurt? I don't think he's been bad, he just isn't producing right now. Like many players, he's a bit streaky and we've seen both sides of that now, but I wouldn't healthy scratch him. I'd rather try him with Sid.

From last blog, I agree Graves has been one of their better defensemen so far. Maybe because so many others are standing out as bad, but he's been steady.

Bunting is riding the pine and should be.

72 - Anthony Beauvillier has been one of the better players to me, not sure the gripe on him? He's been all over the ice. oconnor has been pretty physical and going to the net more.Good to see Valtteri Puustinen back in the lineup...Acciari and eller have been good. Glass has been well glass and not sure why he's in the lineup still? Puljujarvi started out great and faded out great also.

Dmen: Grzelcyk and graves have been solid so far..St ivany seems to not play as physical as last season..Letang? I forgot about him?

My biggest concern is bunting..And i'm not talking about baseball.

Is Sullivan actually scratching Bunting to get Puussytinen back in the lineup?

You might want to give your harpoon a few days rest - SILKY benched him for some reason in one game but 4 points in 5-games isn't too shabby... for sure, well, at least not yet, it shouldn't be dubbed as fading.

I like Beau, just not on the top line. Sid's line has struggled, DOC worked there last year, so I just don't see why they haven't gone back to DOC-Sid-Rust. I would think Beau and his speed would work well on the 3rd line with Eller and JP.

The harpoon is sharpened and ready..I mean 1 g and 3 assists in 5 games is reaching..Get back to me if he reaches 10 goals this season. I know 1 thing..His PIM"s will match his goals.

Would you guys do a Valeri Nichushkin for Jarry trade? Of course Colorado may have to retain to make the money work.

So what you're saying is, he won't put his team on the PK often? That's cool, I'm good with that, don't want a liability taking penalties all the time.

Umm hell yeah. I know he prefers right wing though over left so their might have to be a whole top 6 shuffle that involves rakell going to someone’s off wing. Maybe:

Bunting - Sid - rust
Rakell - Geno - Nich

Throw in pustinen or whoever to cover the bulk of the remaining million dollars.

How badly are they getting slaughtered today, do you think?... I'm just home from a 3 hour bike ride. I'm ready to be beaten down...but first, food and some football.

Absolutely... but Nuch seems to be a very valuable cog in their machine. They're not the same team on the ice without him.. Or so my Avs loving buddies tell me, anyway haha. When you look at the stats with or without him that narrative does seem to hold some weight.

IMalkin has 1100 PIMS in 1151 games. How many of them PIM"S were stupid penalties? Sure he's a HOF but still is he a liability by taking dumb penalties?
