From the Trib...
Unfortunately for Bunting, an unanticipated slow start to the year has him on the verge of relegation from the club’s top six forwards to a healthy scratch.
“I think our expectation is higher,” coach Mike Sullivan said Saturday in Cranberry when asked to assess Bunting’s season to date. - madmike71
And Rakell went how many games scoreless in the top 6 last year? |

People wanted to know why Bunting is scratched. That's right from the horses mouth.
Sully could scratch 3/4 of the team and be justified IMO.

Sid’s line is a dumpster fire. |

It's punishment. No other way to look at it. Sully must not like something about his game. - madmike71
Bunting doesn't play on the perimeter enough. He's not hearing what Sully is preaching, so he's spending a night in the box to get his mind right. |

yup. this game is so frustrating. Get depth scoring (check). League avg. goal-tending (nope). Top line doing top line things (nope). Every now & again, they'll be able to stitch it all together on the same night (and maybe for a string of games) but overall, there's just too much variability in how they play. |

Ah well. Despite the loss it was one of their more encouraging games for me haha. They played pretty good overall. They could have won that game vs a very upper level opponent. |

And you guys said we would be too good for a lottery pick. Now I’m not saying top 5 but I think we can sneak into single digits. The real question is when do we eat 50% of ek for a late round first to a contender. Gonna be a busy TDL this year. |

I think that shop has sailed on EK all together. No way a team with a real chance that’s playing good hockey would throw EK into that mix. |

Yeah, I think the guys on this board miss that the Jets are 5-0 and steamrolling everybody. We played well. An effort like this would be enough vs most teams. |

Why do the pens keep losing to bigger younger players who play with an edge? Please don't change anything dubas the fans love perimeter players with no physical play. |

IMalkin has 1100 PIMS in 1151 games. How many of them PIM"S were stupid penalties? Sure he's a HOF but still is he a liability by taking dumb penalties? - jb55

Definitely a lot to like. Still can’t wrap my head around the bunting situation. |
