So you admit to making a mistake and go on to write a bunch of paragraphs about how much of a fan you are but you can't be bothered to even make mention of the massive mistake.

I don't think anyone cares about how you feel about AI. Maybe just say sorry for saying David Perron's new born baby was stillborn and fix the last blog.

He did admit to making a mistake but did not specify the details of the error. Why would someone choose one or the other as if it is exclusive? Usually when one admits to making a mistake like this they would go on to rectify the error by telling the truth. In this case, maybe just say something like "I'm sorry for saying that David Perron's newborn died, I should have done some research."
