Are the Flyers a contender or a rebuilding team? Kolosov needs north american games. He's developing. If we believe in him, he needs AHL time. Fedotov looked like a disaster, you can't develop players in front of that. Now, he can give you enough to win on a night. He's older and he was brought in to stabilize our backup position, not be a goalie of the future. Once Ersson is healed up I'd send Kolosov back down to get him more games.
In the end it doesn't matter if Feds wins us games, he's there to provide a steady backup. If we win, great our team is developing well. If we lose, we get that much better a draft spot. I'm hopeful for Feds, and I think he's been looking great, but it's a win win whether this team wins or loses.

I do. He has shown that he can learn and adapt. I want to see more of Kolosov, but I think with Ersson and these two we are okay for the moment

Much better doesn’t equate NHL level goalie. Let it play out see what happens. Last better than first few is a positive

I don't understand stuff sometimes. You are a blogger, but do you make any effort to be accurate? You wrote the guy's name THREE times, and spelled it differently each time - and NONE OF THEM WERE CORRECT?!? His name is FEDOTOV!

And as for Hextall, what made you say he was starting off "VERY much not looking like an NHL goalie"?!? I was at his first NHL game. He gave up a goal to Jari Kurri on the first shot he faced, then shut out the Oilers the rest of the game, and the Flyers won 2-1. During the game Gretzky came up to him and said, "Who the h*ll are you?!?" Hexy responded, "Who the h*ll are YOU?" It was hilarious. Hextall went on to win the Vezina in his rookie year, as well as the Conn Smythe. What about that makes him look VERY much not like an NHL goalie???

He will provide another middling draftpick with his play. 😏🤨

Correct. Hextall looked like an nhl caliber goalie from the second he hit the ice in that game and he was off to the races as you mention.

I don’t trust the team in front of Ersson but I trust him. Especially in shootouts which I never thought I’d say about a flyer goalie.
