Yeah but that was the last year before the lockout, so when he came back his style didn't fit into the new nhl, they also didn't have Khabibulin post-lockout, and the goalie is the most important part of a team. And it's not like they came out of nowhere when they won the stanly cup, in '02-'03 they finished as the SE champs and had 93pts, then won the stanly cup the next year, then the lockout. He's not the only coach to win 1 stanly cup too. He's also #1 on the all-time wins list for American Born coaches. So I wouldn't really call him bad.

Note: Their are so many things wrong with this, total GP's is 593, including playoffs. But then that is 92 goals instead of 82, I'm not the best at math but his career high in goals is 24 and I know it wont average to 3 goals a year, but no way is it good. Under Torts he reached 31pts in 69games, his 3rd best year, and if he played all 82games it could have been his best season.
