The more I think about his contract versus his lack of high-end production, the more and more I think he is stuck in a Blue Jackets uniform.

The BJ's should only trade him for full value, but nobody should really be giving up full value for him. Pretty gay situation. |

Whats full value? Heatley is a more accomplished scoring forward, and the deal for him included Johnathan Cheechoo. |

Nash has made it an ugly situation saying he asked to leave though. I think they may be passed that point. |

Yeah I guess I should have rephrased that, haha. They really shouldn't send him away for pennies on the dollar, but his cap hit is huge and he's not a superstar IMO so nobody should really overpay for him, which is kind of what you want when you trade your best player. Basically, he's probably more valuable to Columbus to anyone else, kinda like Hemsky and EDM. But he wants out so thEy don't have that many options. |

Yah it's really hard for any team to take that contract but if Gomez can be traded anything can happen. |

It's hard, but at this time of year it's not that bad. Plus if you think there will be a rollback of salaries I doubt you are too concerned about Nash's contract.
When a guy of Nash's calibre is on the block Gm's turn a blind eye to the bad.
CBJ will probably take some salary back, but I still think they'll get a decent package. |

If you can send Thorton the other way, it becomes an interesting deal. |

Unfortunately I doubt any of the Sharks with NTCs will waive to go to Columbus. And without Thornton, Nash probably doesn't waive to go to SJ |

Nash is easily tradeable the problem is the asking price. NYR wanted him and after there season will likely push for him again.
Dubinsky, Del Zotto and ther 1st for Nash.......get ready |

The season where Heatley was with Thornton and Marleau they had the best line in hockey. |

One season. Did they win a cup?
The idea is that by acquiring Nash, your acquiring a star winger who's going to help you for years to come. Not finish a PPG the first year, get 60 points the next year, and then find your way to Minnesota. |

I think that was the following year. That year McLellan decided to split them up. I could be wrong about that. Let me rephrase by saying they were one of the best lines in hockey. |

Plenty of teams would still offer up a ton for him even with his horrid contract because he is a fairly rare talent. Guys with his size and style of play are normally bottom 6 guys they aren't legit top line talents. Big, powerful 30+ goal scorers that can skate are always in demand. |

I could see Buffalo landing Nash. Vanek could go the other way (obviously need to add to him too) as his contract is just as bad as Nash' but still a useful player as well.
