Everyday should be Pav day. But he went away. So I say, let’s do it for one day. Yay.
Seriously, I love that guy. I want to see him at dev camp every year. I mean, I just gave up on wishing for him to come back just like last year… |

What is the point of contention with Fedorov? One of my favorite players not named Gretzky. - Bob_Loblaw
When Fedorov left Detroit, there were a lot of hard feelings in ownership and the fan base. It seems crazy, but it’s gone for far too long. I don’t know how anyone at this point can keep the push going for #91 not to be in the rafters. A special player who gave a lot of great memories and moments to the organization.
Thank you for dropping that in. It’s a much appreciated sentiment (and high praise to be sure). |

When he’s off the ice, you can see some of the limping and wear/tear these guys go through. When he hits the ice, it’s like he finds a fountain of youth. I’m not sure it will resonate with all the kids that got to spend time with him how special that really was. Such a gift to the fans to have had #13 and to have him come to town again. |

There appears to be some haters that Datsyuk was elected into the hall of fame, simply because he's Russian. What his homeland is doing in this world does not reflect the man. He's a world-class athlete and an even better human being. People that are against him because he's Russian are out of their minds. He has earned his right to be a hall of famer. Honoring him and his accomplishments is the right thing to do. Pavel didn't start the war in Ukraine. |

The scuttle but in RFA negotiations is that Berggren' is near done, that Seider's is mutually humming along, and that Raymond's is far from done. I am not a fan of dragging this out. If any of them hold out, I would hope that he be traded than have it go into the season, because then it is affecting the team production. |

I don’t know about these specific negotiations, but there was a write up regarding negotiations in general this year with more players seeking bonuses. The current CBA expires in 2025-26 and there’s some concern about lost revenue. Larkin’s deal was done without signing bonuses, and there are a few teams that have tried to avoid them. Again, no guarantee that this is directly impacting the negotiations but if ownership is hesitant on signing bonuses it could be part of the hold up. In perspective, I think about 35 players in the league have annual bonuses paid before the season. There are hardship funds in the NHLPA, and I doubt anyone wants to stretch things out but there are some points of contention for both sides of the table |

I had someone tell me that every Russian player should have been kicked out of the league after the invasion. They were dead serious and not really up for debate. Some of that has died down, but it sounds like you ran into it. |
