Luchanko centering two good wingers while Cates plays? Intriguing to say the least…lot of reasons to send him down….but maybe they think he’s earned it. |

Torts alluded to working on special teams in the upcoming practices….interesting to see if Luchanko will be in those groups? They are now in the “get ready for the season “mode. |

Does any non contending team ( contender for that matter) have as much money tied up in their 4th line? 7 million.

Ryan OReilly made the Aves at 18. I can see the argument both ways except anyone claiming he’s going to morph into a #1 center level prospect with another year of juniors. |

Could this be the starting lineup on opening night?
Michkov-Couturier-Konecny
Tippett-Frost-Foerster
Farabee-Luchanko-Brink
Laughton-Poehling-Hathaway
With Lycksell and ND as your 13th and 14th forwards. |

Very dumb yet oh so entertaining if Luchanko makes the team.
The gold standard flyers see elite conditioning and have a boner lasting longer than 24 hours. Much like Jonesy sweating a fringe dman that can be physical.
And on top of that, the co-GM appears flaccid and weak, already indoctrinated by those he is surrounded by.

Luchanko belongs in Junior, he should be sent back tomorrow.
This should not be a difficult concept for this organization to grasp. Then again, this organization seems to think that Rocky Thompson can run a powerplay and that Laughton and Seeler are irreplaceable core players so I guess anything is possible. |

Michkov with Couturier and not Frost. Totorella will do anything to suppress Frost and bump up a very pedestrian looking Couturier |

After watching Tort's press conference yesterday I wouldn't be surprised if Jett stays for now. Torts is once again developing tunnel vision for a certain player. He only sees what he wants to see.

Torts is infuriating and DB even more for letting him always have his way. The only thing that should matter is what is best for the kid’s development and that is certainly not playing a bottom 6 role on a mediocre NHL team.
Briere needs to step up here. |

Putting the needs of the team over the player. Classic gold standard move. |

You’re right he probably is. Because Briere is a nutless monkey that takes his cues from the coach. |

Why tomorrow? I see no harm in keeping him until the end as he is getting nhl level practices and coaching.
then send back before the season. |

Or putting a kid who is known primarily for is offense with a Center who for most of his career played solid D and a winger that even though makes offensive zone mistakes hustles back to make up for them.
Then maybe once MM shows he can play some sort of D at the NHL level can be moved to be on a line with Frost.

well the GM and coach have a short shelf life, of course they are goign to do that. it is a results-oriented business.
now had the CO-GM done an actual rebuild maybe he would do the opposite. |
